What this practice covers
These questions are drawn from past CIE 0264 Business papers and filtered to methods of communication. You answer, you find out immediately whether you were right, and you get the reasoning for the correct option and for each distractor. Wrong answers go to a mistakes locker so you can come back to exactly those.
Practice is free. You need an account only so your progress and your mistakes are still there next time.

What examiners see students get wrong here
These are the errors that cost marks on methods of communication, taken from our own topic notes. Read them before you practise and you will recognise the traps in the questions.
- Defining communication as sending a message, with no mention of the receiver understanding it.
- Saying email is faster than a phone call and stopping there, without saying why speed matters to this business.
- Treating any method used inside the business as internal only. Email and letters are used in both directions; it is the receiver who decides which it is.
- Listing methods rather than choosing one and defending the choice against the others.
- Recommending the cheapest method for sensitive news such as redundancy, with no mention of the effect on morale.
- Saying social media is good because it is modern. The reason is the size of the audience and the low cost, and the risk is that complaints are public.
- Giving a barrier without the problem it causes. The marks come from the consequence: wasted output, a missed deadline, an accident.
- Suggesting "improve communication" as a way to remove a barrier. That restates the problem instead of solving it.
Revise it first
If any of the above is unfamiliar, work through the notes before practising: Methods of communication revision notes.
